ARTIST STATEMENT I Believe Human beings, each and collectively, have a path.The fortunate find that path as well as the strength to follow it. The contented have learned to celebrate it. My work is reaching a point where my ideology and imagery are coming together, It reflects contemplation of life's process of growth, stagnation, learning and change directly as well as metaphorically. Material objects and living forms that allow for subtle metaphor provide the subject matter for my images. What the work represents has its beginning with me and my process of conceptualizing. After that beginning, I let go of my own meanings and allow the image to dictate direction or intent. The story or meaning of the finished piece comes from the viewers interpretation. |
